Santa Clara University

I am so glad that I went Santa Clara University. Santa Clara was where Richard and I went, with little Ricsson in me. It was such a beautiful place, I was filled with happiness there. The roses were beautiful, and the biggest roses I had seen. These are such sweet memories now.




Santa Clara University is a private, co-educational Jesuit-affiliated university located in Santa Clara, California. Santa Clara is located in the center of Silicon Valley, and is home to the headquarters of Intel, Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, NVIDIA, Agilent Technologies, and many other high-tech companies.

Chartered by the state of California and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, it operates in collaboration with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), whose members founded the school in 1851. Santa Clara is the oldest operating institution of higher learning in California and the oldest Catholic university in the American West. It is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.

Richard and I had such an wonderful time at this beautiful university filled with flowers and greeneries. We took so many photographs. These are some photographs of the different colours of roses there.







How I wish I can go back to Santa Clara again one day, but now with my two children. This time, it is even more full of meaning. I want to take all the beautiful flowers, each and every species of flowers there, at St Clare's garden. St Clare's garden is a memorial to St. Clare of Assisi (1193-1253), religious mystic and follower of apostolic poverty, spiritual friend of St. Francis, and the first woman in Western Europe to compose a rule of religious life for women. It would be so great to go back there with my family and I would like to visit the dutch windmill this time ( I only took a picture of it, but not went there, it's a regret, I never get to see a real windmill -- no chance to admire it).
